Earth Hour 2021 takes place tonight, March 27th at 8:30 pm.
Millions of people around the world will show solidarity by taking place in the symbolic hour of darkness.
Iconic landmarks on every continent will take part including the Empire State Building, Eiffel Tower, Colosseum, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and the Sydney Opera House. They will each go dark for one hour at 8:30 pm local time.
Earth Hour is not a plan to reduce carbon emissions or energy use but a symbolic action to encourage awareness. It is about recognizing your ecological footprint and starting to think about how to mange it sustainably.
