Urban Woods sustainable green business. More capacity, new materials and markets.
This year, Urban Woods became a certified Los Angeles Green Business. Additionally, our sustainable factory took over production for Antico Furniture. The Antico furniture line specializes in high end, custom antique reproductions, modern ranch and farmhouse style furniture. Our facility will provide better capacity to produce a wider range of new products with faster turn around times.
In addition to our selection of reclaimed wood, Kirei board and custom steel designs, we have added more materials. Woods now include oak, alder and walnut in addition to our reclaimed Douglas fir. Lucite acrylic and glass are used in many new designs as well as marble and sustainable fabrics for upholstery. Now bringing multiple elements together for our customer’s complete custom design needs.
Other exciting innovations are the introduction of ZERO VOC finishes available on all wooden designs and a wide variety of powder coating applications on steel and aluminum. In addition, a variety of Sea Grass and several other natural fabrics have been added.
We are still specializing in modern reclaimed wood platform beds and non-toxic bedroom furniture. However we have begun making modern ranch, classic antique pine reproductions and farmhouse style, shabby chic designs..
Urban Woods is serving as the “one stop” for all customized furniture and sustainable furniture designs. For American made solid wood furniture, custom wood furniture and modern non-toxic furniture. We are a certified Los Angeles Green Company, Fair Trade Manufacturer, member of the US Green Building Council (USGBC) with capacity to produce LEED credited products.
